Viewport color override simply undoes itself

Hi all,

My AutoCAD has gone haywire and for some reason I am now unable to apply ANY viewport colour override to any viewport.

I literally open it, draw a single line on Layer 0, then a viewport in paper space. Everything is on layer 0. I have not attached anything, run anything or done anything other than that, yet if I try and change the viewport layer, it either instantly undoes itself or it simply will not show the colour.

If the mongrel thing does manage to hold, you can select the line through the viewport and it will tell you it has changed, but it is still white.

Like I said, I changed nothing, so the vp is not locked or anything I can find to prevent it happening.

Does anyone else have this issue or have any idea how to fix this?

Is it possible that you’ve changed the object color to a color like 7 and not Bylayer?

No, when you select it (if it stays) it still says bylayer (VP).

I have tried changing the viewport colour to a multitude of colours. None work.

Do you just need to restart your PC @js75CAD ? Hiccups happen in software on PCs occasionally.
