AutoCAD - Acrobat alternatives?
We currently use AutoCAD 2015 and 2016 with various versions of Adobe Acrobat. It works fine. Are there less expensive alternatives to Acrobat? Does anyone use anything else? Does it work well? We need to buy more licenses and Acrobat is so expensive. Just curious what others use.
Thanks

They open the pdfs and edit them after created. I dont think they can do that with the ones created from AutoCAD. ANd they want to be able to see the various layers separately.

AutoCAD's PDF driver can save layers and blocks information to PDFs, and in 2016 even shx text and more, and we here edit PDFs all day long from AutoCAD in Photoshp and Illustrator. And AutOCAD for MAC users use the MacOS built-in PDF drivers to do much of the same.
Is there something specific the built-ins do not do that the Adobe Drivers allow? if you just have to buy something else, look into BlueBeam http://bluebeam.com/us/bluebeam-difference/bluebeam-vs-adobe.asp

I do know, from a recent thread, that the newer adobe drivers allow for a paper size exceeding 200 inches.
