System sound is being set to zero when working within Autocad program
Good Day. I am experiencing an issue related to AutoCAD. Whenever i work inside the autocad application, my system sound is set to zero and effectively mute. This occured after the latest windows update in august 2023. No other application has been affected so i believe this is specifically autocad related. My system sound will be fine, then once i select the autocad program and begin working my system sound is set to zero. If i switch to a different tab/ application/ browser the sound automatically returns to its normal without intervention. This is problematic as I am usually working alongside others utilising audio programs.

Welcome to the AutoCAD forum!
Try Resetting the system sound in Windows Settings>Sound>Advanced Sound Options, while the software is opened.
Please select the "Accept as Solution" button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Thank you for the suggestion but unfortunately I seem to be experiencing a very nuanced issue. Cannot find anyone else with my exact issue online. All common fixes for similar type of problems such as driver updates/ rollbacks/ audio enhancements/ exclusive mode dont seem to fix the issue either.

Also, make sure you have the latest AutoCAD updates.
If no other suggestion is provided, as last option:
Reset and computer Restart, or Perform a clean uninstall.
