Phasing Paperspace
We have recieved a drawing from another consultant and when trying to change the size of the paperspace it appears to phase out to various places, rather than scaling from the 0,0 co-ordinate.
Basically I would like to get the 0,0 co-ordinate to be consistent with the bottom left of the printable area and be able to change the paper size without the paper moving somewhere and me having to create new 0,0 co-ordinate to the bottom right of the printable area.
A1 (working as intended):
Same Layout changed to different paper size (A3), causes the paperspace to originate in a random area.

I typically specify the printable area using a window instead of relying on layout. This way you don’t have to worry about where 0,0 is

This is something I have set-up on our template, but I can not seem to find what differs between the received file and my template in terms of set-up, that results in the Printable Area/"Paper" to phase a round when the size is changed.

Have you tried, plotting using window instead of layout and Apply to Layout the modifications to accept the changes. Ensure that your origin is set to 0,0

Perhaps you can share your dwg template that includes a layout that has an A1 title block and one that has an A3 title block

Otherwise... Are you trying to work in "their" DWG file? I'd suggest you give them a call right away then for help.
Or did you XREF or INSERT their file into one of your working-just-fine DWG files?
Use your own layouts imported from your own templates?
