Having problem with the new printer. Prints lines lighter then the old one. Help please!

We just bought a new printer, Canon imageRUNNER  Advance DX (C3835i) and the plot styles are printing lighter then our other printers. Can it be fixed in settings in AutoCAD ?

Printing in other programs are normal and it seems that is only printing/plotting in AutoCAD that lines come out lighter.

@peturh ,

Start with the suggestion from this link:

Also, plot a PDF - using the AutoCAD DWG to PDF.pc3, and make sure to check "Plot object lineweights".

Thank you for quick response.

I already saw this solution and it does not help me. All the settings work perfectly on the plotters and the older printer.

I was hoping that there was some settings to adjust each printer to darken or lighten the print styles.

@peturh ,

If you have the same issue after printing a PDF, consider adjusting the printers DPI setting:

Otherwise you may need to copy (or create) your current AutoCAD CTB and modify to your desired output:

Or contact a Canon technician.

Different printers/plotters can have a dramatically different output too: if all the other tips shared are not working for your needs you'll most likely end up creating custom plotstyle tables and LWEIGHT settings just for this new device.

Be prepared.
