Lines vanishing in paper space

Autocad 2023.1.3

I have a user who when activating an existing drawing, the entities in paper space disappear if and when he zooms or regenerates graphics. The lines show up on model space and if printed, but on screen, nothing.

If he places the mouse over the lines, they highlight and then vanish once the mouse moves off.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, file is too big to attach.

@The_Angry_Elf it's 2023, nothing is too big to share when it cannot be attached :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

It would appear their video card is not up to the task: is the problem limited to this one DWG file?

Is this a laptop (or a desktop) and is it set to use the default "iris" graphics instead of a better added video card for AutoCAD?

And/or...

Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD. That is likely to help

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables all the time.

If still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort, see if that is the cure.

Thanks Dean!

He used the reconfig graphics set to basic - worked, intermediate - worked, back to Advanced - works fine, again.

He's found 3 files out of 20 this is happening on. Of those other 3, he's testing the reconfig graphics on as we speak.

Results to follow.
