Hello there, Im Freddie, I suddenly noticed my layer properties are not displaying the layers selected. Also, I am unable to change the layer properties, ie: color, line type, etc, through the layer properties box. I am able to do so in the object properties. But, I usually change layer types, properties thru the layer ribbon. Also unable to match properties. Im using windows 10, Dell laptop. I must have hit something when attemting to toggle ortho. Which has become another hassel. I have to simutaneously hit fn & F8 in order to turmn ortho on-off. Can you help me? Also, autocad crashes and freezes constantly. Usually when I am grip editing lines, rectangles or, when I use trim, chamfer, fillet. It crashes at a minimum, 3 times per day. Why is that?
I need assistance quick, Im under a big deadline and am losing time. Please???
Sincerely,
Freddie.

Is your issue similar to this one? See suggestion at the end for a possible fix:

Is SP1 for AutoCAD2016 installed yet? It's needed to work well with Win10.

Hi @Archiez I am not able to reproduce your issue.
Have you applied all service packs for AutoCAD 2016 like Dean had mentioned?
If you haven't please go to the AutoCAD Downloads site.
To address the ortho toggle options you can make modifications to your CUI to fix this issue like seen in the picture below.
Follow the steps in this article for making changes to your CUI.
The service pack should resolve the crashing and layer property issue, if it does not please provide more deatiled information about your system and current workspace.
Thanks. ![]()
