Display issue with tabs when multiple drawings are open.

Hello everyone

When I have enough drawings open in AutoCAD that they won't fit on the screen, instead of showing a drop down arrow sometimes it will just show the tabs running off screen and a large black box appears on the far right of my screen. Any clue on how to get the regular drop down arrow to appear? See the image below. Thanks in advance.

@Cole.AndrewsAAJAB ,

Consider the suggestions in this link:

Doesn't solve my issue of file tabs going off screen. Any other suggestions?

@Cole.AndrewsAAJAB ,

At the Command line try:

RIBBONCLOSE to hide/turn the ribbon off.

Then:

RIBBON to show/turn on the ribbon on.

that closed the ribbon and reopened it, but the tabs didn't change.

see how the far right tab cuts off

Maybe turning the File Tab On/Off.

Nope, that didn't work either.

AutoCA2022 is not new, and what you shared in screenshots is not reproducible here.
By chance, is this a new monitor? New computer? Something else different today?
Did this problem just cropped up today and you've not had a chance to restart your computer yet?
or has it always been an issue?

And when you can, share with us a screenshot of your ABOUT command pop-up please.

This has been an issue for like a year and I finally got fed up with it lol. Sometimes it happens sometimes it don't. Here's the About screen shot.

Thanks for the screenshot: not sure it will make a difference, but you are missing the 2022.1.3 update. Restart your PC after installing it.

AFAIK there is no fix for "sometimes" type issues: how do you normally go about fixing it when it happens to you? And if you had to define when you can predict it happening, what would those circumstances be?

I can't predict when it happens and I can't fix it when it does. But I'll try installing the update, thanks.

Since this is a "display" issue in 2022, try the magical solution to so many other such problems:

Change the GFXDX12 setting to off (0).
