So I've used the same block about 50 times in a drawing. I now have to replace about 20 of them with another block while leaving the other 30 untouched. I was wondering if there was a quick way to do this without deleting them all then placing them with the new block one at a time.
Maybe a way to rename the 20 blocks I have selected so I can then do just replace those all at once. I've read that there is a copy block definition command but I haven't been able to find it.
Thanks

It seems to be simple and quick...
just those 20 block copy into another drawing... rename.. change/replace (blockreplace)
while that in the first drawing erase the previous selection
and paste the new-ones back...

Here's what I use -- BlockReplace.lsp with its BRS and BRA commands. You would want BRS, which stands for Block Replace: Selected [as opposed to All]. See comments at the top of the file.
