TIFF image reference black background

What does it mean that an image reference of a TIFF file has a black background, while most other images display in white?

My guess is it has a transparent background.

Akin to pdfs, this is what I would expect, yet the TIFF obstructs entirely.

Hi @jdfnnl

Thanks a lot for posting your question to the forums!   There is a way to invert this.

  1. Select your .tif image in AutoCAD.
  2. Go to the Raster Tools Tab.
  3. Under the 'Clenup' drop down in the Edit Panel, select 'Invert Image'
  4. Then under the 'Process Image' drop down in the Edit Panel, select 'Change Color Depth'
  5. When it prompts you, select the Bitonal option.

We look forward to hearing back from you with more information so we can help you as a community!
