What does a number before R mean?

Hey everyone!

Recently I participated in a CAD competition and saw a dimension denoted as 2-R15. I understand that R means radius and 15 stood for 15 mm. But what does the 2 before mean? What if it was another number?

For example, I have never seen such designations. I suspect this is someone who came up with it himself. The drawing standards of some countries allow for several identical holes to indicate the diameter only once and write "2 holes" under the dimension shelf. Perhaps someone decided to use the same approach but in their own way. In any case, I would not advise doing this - you may not be understood.

Hi,

Here, you must be fully aware of the circumstances of the project in order to realize the meaning. Other than that, all you will get are just predictions.

2-R15 ... I think it means that you have two places with R15 .. maybe!!

I think this means that there are two holes with a radius of 15mm
