Hello,
I'm trying to create a georeferenced site plan using an external image in Vanilla AutoCAD. I have the image and drawing loaded, take a known locations lat/long off of google maps, then use 'Set Location'. However, it's hard to tell how well lined up everything is, given the AutoCAD imagery is terrible. I've tried using a .kmz file as well without any luck, it just redirects me back through the 'From Map' prompts. I've also set it to UTM83-8, NAD83 but when I try to confirm the coordinates given on AutoCAD with an online converter the numbers are totally out to lunch.
Image and drawing overlaying AutoCAD map imagery:
Just AutoCAD map imagery:
Some macrofeatures appear to be off but its hard to tell given the poor resolution.
I also see no option to change imagery in the geolocation tab:
Any resources or suggestions would be much appreciated.
