Annotative dimensioning auto initiating
This is something that I have tried to resolve in the past, but have never been able to find a solution. I assume that most users in this forum would disagree with my preference to NOT use annotative dimensioning or other annotative features. My opinion around these features is that they are just another example of "letting the program do the thinking for you", although I can see the appeal of them, if they in fact lead to more efficiency.
Anyway, as I have posted before, I discovered that whenever you insert a block from the Tool Palette, annotative dimensioning immediately is added to your "lineup" of dimstyles, whether you want it or not. I don't want it - for one thing, I am, I guess, a little obsessive about purging unnecessary elements from my current CAD session, so this becomes yet another item that I have to repeatedly get rid of as I am trying to streamline my current session.
Are there any other users out there in the forum that would care to comment on this? And, again, I don't want to adopt any of these annotative functions - it just doesn't suit my approach to drafting, so, please, don't try to convince me to use this....it seems we should have an option to not allow this automatic introduction into our current drafting session.
Thanks for responding if you care to do so,
LC
