i need to use this symbol- how do i get this to appear?

%%2is possible, but you need to know WHAT FONT you have to use!
BTW: I can't find this symbol in www, what is it?

It's all very well to suggest the usual symbol-inclusion process if this is a symbol that's available that way, but I don't see it anywhere in the usual sources. I agree with @cadffm in Message 2 -- it may be a defined character in a .SHP/.SHX font, but you need to have that font file to be able to use the symbol. It could be added easily enough if you have a font you want to add it to -- it doesn't look like a very complicated character definition -- but you would need to include the font file if you send a drawing that contains this symbol to others.
I also agree with their question: what does it represent?

I could not find the symbol as part of an available font either. What does it mean and what is it called?
If you cannot find the font that contains the symbol then consider creating the symbol as a block with a unit height and scale it appropriately when you use it inserting it in a text string where you leave room for it.

thank you for the tip rushabhthakkar_910. this defintely makes it easier to search for the symbol. but i have to agree with Kent1Cooper and leeminardi that the symbol doesn't seem availabe there. i'll try to get an answer to what the symbol is. the strange thing is that i'm copying a drawing that must have originated in autocad, so how did the symbol get there in the first place? we'll keep trying to find the answer...

Why do you assume that it was created in AutoCAD?
Custom content can come from a variety of sources, At this point, it's not even clear what kind of object it is. The proposed solutions are addressing it as if it were text. It could also be a block that you could actually make yourself in less time than you've spent looking for it.

I think that's a reasonable assumption, given the second sentence in Message 1, but maybe not -- @r0527194282, what does Properties or LIST say it is? Can you post a small drawing file that contains one?

I recieved the drawing in PDF form, which i s why I don't have a DWG to post, and also why I don't have any properties on it. Could be that it came from a different program. Anyway, in the end I just substituted the standard diameter symbol. Thanks for trying.
