AutoCAD - Printed lines too thick

I have an elaborate kitchen 3D modeled in Autocad. When I plot my layouts, the initial plan view for instance, there are lines that print out super thick that should not be, i have dialed every lineweight to .05 to combat this. I am beginning to think that it is because of which ever way I am looking at the model, lines are overlapping (because they are, for essentially cubes stacked on cubes) and when lines overlap, they appear thicker than single lines. Should i be looking for a way to flatten an image or something? I have tried all of the solutions here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Linewe...   and none of them have worked. very frustrating.

If the view in your image is from the top, an that is what you wish to print, why do you need all items below that "top element" to appear if I may ask?

Seems you are getting what you created "...(because they are, for essentially cubes stacked on cubes)...".

Most likely you should be trying to tweak the visual styles in your viewport. Are you using a regular viewport or a ModelDoc (ViewBase) view? The approach to tuning will be completely different, because the ModelDoc view shows specially created 2d lines (flat shot) from your model in no way, and the viewport shows your boxes.
