Measure Distance Between 2 Points

I just upgraded from Acad 2018 to 2023. How do you measure the distance between 2 points in v2023? The measure tool under the draw panel doesn't allow me to pick 2 points as in previous versions.

Try DI or DIST

Measure is for placing points or blocks at specified spacing along an object

Try the measure on the Utilities panel on the right of the ribbon. Click the down arrow and there are several options

Hi,

  • MEASURE command .. Creates point objects or blocks at measured intervals along the length or perimeter of an object. >> Click <<
  • MEASUREGEOM command .. Measures the distance, radius, angle, area, and volume of selected objects, a sequence of points, or dynamically. >> Click <<
  • DIST command .. Measures the distance and angle between two points. >> Click <<

Right click in an empty spot on the ribbon, then find and turn on that missing panel

Utilities is in the Drafting and Annotation Workspace. Maybe you are currently using a different workspace and would need to switch to see it.  From your image looks like you are in the 3D modeling workspace.
