Commands jump to other open drawings

Good Morning,

I wanted to see if anyone has encoutered an error with AutoCAD Civil3d 2016 where typing a command jumps to another open drawing tab. One of our employees keep having this random issues and it can happen at any time. He will start typing a command and relize that the command is not showing up on the drawing he is working on. He will then go and click other drawings that are open and that command he typed will be there under the other drawing. If he switchs back to the drawing he was working on it will start working like normal.

I have not tracked down the issue to a specific thing he is doing as this is only happening to 1 end user out of many. I have done all the updates for AutoCAD as well to verify this wasn't fixed with another patch.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Steven

This is far beyond regular, almost seems like a system issue. Repair or reinstall AutoCAD. Don't use the same installer, download a new one.

What are your system details, OS, and the typical size of you files?

BTW there is no one cure for "random issues", try to find a common trigger with that one user and you'll find other are able to better help once it's defined better.

Not: the C3D forum is here for that exceptionally unusual program variant http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-civil-3d/ct-p/66
