AutoCAD - when line crosses another line autocad attaches them together

for example if i draw a circle and then draw a line from the center of the circle outwards past the edge then autocad connects them together. i cant move them independently of each other. Any help would be appreciated.

Share that DWG file with the line/circle that are permanently attached please, lets see your work for ourselves to try and help you decipher it.

Thank you Pendean appreciate your time. The circle and the line are not connected but if you select just the line it moves the circle to. Just cant figure this one out.
