dwg to pdf plotting a manageable file

Hi

I'm looking for a way to print my dwg to a flat pdf with minimal model information. It can be raster or vector, it just has to be easily plottable.

The problem I have is that when I create pdfs, I can plot them to paper in my office but when I send them out to others, half of them can't. Some can't even open and view the file.

I normally use the built in dwg to pdf printer which creates high quality files and paper plots. I have tried primo which takes a long time to print and produces worse quality images (doesn't look like my on-screen preview). I have also tried the Adobe pdf printer that comes with Acrobat pro. Again, the file takes a long time to print and creates an image that isn't very good.

I understand that my settings in Adobe might not be optimal so this could be the problem. The wait to print to pdf is still unacceptable.

The best-case scenario is to get a high quality small size vector pdf with only essential visible information so everyone can plot to paper despite the power of their hardware.
