Using Autocad in an Arena with Questions
Hello,
So I have a question. We use autocad to design floorplans for our venue. There are times where we set up spacing between the chairs to say 15" and then a show will change things around and we then have to set up chair spacing to 22". Is there any easy way to adjust the spacing of all the chair rows at one time rather then having to go row by row adjusting per-say the 7"?

Hi @NVFalcon9,
Welcome to the AutodeskForums.
One way would be to >>>Array Objects Along a Path<<< like Lynn Allen shows.

Are they in straight rows? If so, make not an Array of independent objects, but an Array object, that is, an ASsociative Array [an option in the process of the Array command, after you've specified Rectangular]. Then you can change row and/or column spacings (and the number of rows and/or columns) either by grip-editing or by typing values into the Properties Palette:
Dragging the blue triangular pointer-grips nearer the lower-left square insertion point changes the spacings. The ones at upper left and lower right change the number of columns/rows without affecting the spacings. The square grip at upper right [not always visible in my video] can change the numbers of both columns and rows together.

Something I forgot to add, Each row is lettered and each seat has a number assigned to them. So I need to be able to do this while maintaining the row lettering and seat numbering
