Hi, I have bought and installed the 30X40 Design Workshop drawing template. It worked on my previous laptop but since updating to AutoCAD 2023, it has stopped working. The lineweights do not show up properly in my drawings, however they still do in the example. And matching the properties does not work. Any suggestions?
For context with the screenshot: both the lines selected are on the same layer (it is supposed to assign weights by layer.
Thanks.

Or have a PAGRESETUP override?
You could go back to the seller and ask for help.
OR... share that DWG file here through, let's all have a look for ourselves; picture does indeed show a problem, but not why.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'll upload the file, if you could take a look that would be great.

Thanks for the file: in AutoCAD 2020-21-22-23 when I freeze ALL the layers EXCEPT for the ones with actually defined Lineweight settings, all of your modelspace content disappears.
In other words, none of your content that is set to BYLAYER for LWEIGHT are actually on any of those layers.
So... you only see what you've created, not much else.

In your screenshot, the object on the right appears to be a line (or a simple pline with zero width). The object on the left appears to be something other than a line or simple pline; maybe a pline rectangle (?). If it's a pline, does it have a non-zero width?
Also, in the DWG you posted, there are no objects on the layers that are defined with non-zero lineweights (except for the BaseImage layer, which seems to be for the unresolved XRef), so there is no way we can try to replicate what you're experiencing.

Ok, thanks for the help. I'm not really sure what to do next: even when I open the template and draw a line on a the heavy layer for example, I can't get it to show the same lineweight as the other lines on the same layer. I think I'll have to email the creator. Thanks!

For anyone interested/having the same issue: it was because I was not drawing using polylines, which is the linetype the template uses.
