There's no 'setting' or 'system variable' that will correct your drawing. The issue is the method used to establish the coordinate system when the drawing was first started. Unfortunately the coordinate system assigned to modelspace is a process that's slightly more sophisticated than many believe it to be, and because of that, the procedure is misunderstood. As you already know, noticing a geospatial error may go unnoticed until an opportunity to compare it to a good drawing arises.
If you can't post the drawing, can you at least provide coordinates of two points:
- Coordinates of a point where your site is located.
- Coordinates of a point where your incorrect linework lands.
A detailed workflow can be given for your benefit. For the coordinates, you can supply State Plane & Zone or UTM/zone or Lat/Long. If you are unable to get accurate coordinates, would it be possible to give the location in terms of the nearest City/State?
