Ship Constructor is an application that sits on top of autocad (kind of like how Mechanical Desktop did) specifically designed for ships. Ships are in a world all their own in terms of CAD needs and we do naval architecture. We just ponied up the cash for Ship Constructor licenses and we can't really use them. SC works (I hear, haven't used it yet) a lot like Vault, needing it's own server structure. Not being IT people we're trying to determine what's happening so we can respond to IT as to what we need done (That's just the way it is, we largely have to do our own IT work). The question asked of me was what executables are running in the background when we run Autocad, hoping it's as simple as allowing some permission.
