Automatic drawing Autocad

Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to let Autocad draw automatic sketches by giving a few values in a box.

This box could be the same as a 'Attributes box' as already known by using with blocks. Only my idea is to set levels of building floors as drawing lines with the correct offset to eachother by using the giving values in the box. With this sketch it is easy to see the levels of each floors, the levels of each finished level, dimensions of the elevator shaft, level of cantilevered terraces, etc... Below my sketch, hand drawn for a small apartment building.

Anyone some ideas?

Hi,

You may need to use lisps and some coding to get it .. You have a very simple drawing .. By using Fields in your block attributes you can make any changes by stretch command to get fast all what you need .. I mean that you have just lines , levels and dimensions .. attributes with fields and dimensions can automatically updated when you need to make changes or any other drawing .

AutoCAD Architecture, Revit, and other 3D software programs will save you a lot of time. Draw your building. Then you can make sections and elevation views of any portion of the building without haveing to redraw it.
