CAD became frozen

I accidentally type numerical number 5 in the command line, and show the drop down menu with some block listing, and then it frozen up my software. What causing this? Thanks for any immediate response.

Why not just tap the ESC button on your keyboard a couple of times then just continue on with your task: we all mistype every one and then.

Thanks Pendean, didn't worked and end up to reboot my PC and lost my work. Question there is... is it an odd or to avoid to type numerical in the command line that causing this issue? And/or any fix to that as an option in case? I did my experiment .... typing one at a time and hit ESC 10x.... 1,2,4,6 these make the program froze for a while and turn it back. 5,7,8,9, are the worse. These make frustrating...... Anyway, I just want to share my experience and hoping somebody in the group can resolve this. Thanks again.

Weird, your files having issues perhaps? RECOVER command to fix them?
Custom/unique keyboard with a custom unique keyboard driver?
Change keyboards yet?

Post a screenshot of your ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-ups please, and list your OS version.

Hi @noli1057

You would face this issue if you have larger number of blocks in the drawing and block search options is enabled.

Try this: Type in the command "INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS" and then you can uncheck "search content at command line" or just uncheck "block" in content type. You could also uncheck "layer" if you have lots of layers in the drawing and don't want command line to search for layers ad well :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:
