You can't get rid of it but you don't have to look at it.  On my desktop monitor I "shifted"  the display to the left using the monitors controls.  When I take a screen shot of the display it looks like what you are experiencing but when I am drafting what I see is a shifted screen...so for instance I see about 2/3 of the Close button upper right and the Customization in the  Status Bar button lower right...they still work but when I hover over them the tips I get read Clos and Customizatio    So the issue is still there but I don't see it...left side of screen looks fine

 

Another work around I use on my laptop for the same issue is to select the same color Background as I use in Autocad.  Then I crop my Desktop image to leave a small vertical (black in this case) border on either side of the image.  That ends up looking like this...

 Again, the issue is still there but it doesn't show while drafting...
