This is what we used to do for GAPs as we called it.
This sometimes take a little time effort but you find many small mistakes doing this for the project.
Make a Layer named GAP. Copy all of your lines over 150 (just some number you know how to copy back over).
Explode all line work and put them all on the GAP layer.
Remove all unneeded lines so you end up with only the GAP outlines.
Use Pedit M command and select them all then select Join. If a segment don't close like yours did not.
track the error by selecting each section and use Pedit E and keep hitting return until it stops. That is where your error occurs. Fix the error. In your case I went back to the original and need two horizontal lines and coped them over. Trimmed them up and ran Pedit M again. Found another on the left side that need two lines trimmed.
Run Pedit M again and all segments closed and now you have 3 complete segments on layer called Gap.
I placed the cad file here for your viewing. You would only need to copy over the GAP lines 150 and begin your process.
Hope this helps.
JRR.
