Rendering in Autocard v Revit
I wonder if someone can help me. I am a student just starting out with autocad, and have access to Revit via student Autodesk.
One of my projects is to design a 4 bedroom villa with swimming pool and want to present a very lifelike 3d render. Can I do this in Autocad to a good enough standard (so it looks kind of real) or am I best to start from scratch and learn and do the entire thing in Revit?
Appreciate anyone's advice
Thank you very much

Hi,
you can use both, AutoCAD and Revit.
Revit will make it more easy for architectural design as it has already components and materials for wall, window, door, stairs, ... in AutoCAD you have to create all these manually.
As you mentioned "looks kind of real" I would more think about creating the geometry in AutoCAD or Revit, but then use 3DS-Max as this is the much better rendering product, to get close to photo realistic.
