Autocad Custom Hatch Problems
Hi everyone,
I am at a complete loss with this. I hope someone can help me. I am creating a new CAD template. In this template, I have added custom hatch patterns to the acad.pat file. They show up in my hatch editor. This is the issue. If I hatch an area using a default hatch, I can't pick that hatch and change it to a custom hatch. It asks me to select a base point and an angle. Why is this?

here is where screenshots of what you see and a screencast video of you trying to do what you wrote comes in handy for all of us way over here
Screencast is free from here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/simplecontent/content/download-autodesk-screencast...
Your DWG file and your ACAD.PAT file would be a bonus to get as well.

That actually does not make sense. Templates do not contain or are linked to a .pat file. You can have a hatch object in a template drawing, but that can exist even without the .pat file from which the pattern originated.
