Dimension text editor box location on wrong screen.

I am running ACAD 2020 on 2 monitors, I am using the "oldeditor" option for MTEXT. I have been using this on previous releases as I like to get a text box to edit in opposed to the gray area I can barely see the text in.

every time I double click a dimension or edit mtext the editor pops up on the wrong screen. I drag it over to the right screen and the next dimension I click it goes back to the other screen again.

R2020 is not new: is this a sudden new problem, or di you just install it, or did you just start using dual monitors?

>>>...the editor pops up on the wrong screen...<<<
What is 'wrong screen'? Is that #1 or #2 as sorted by Windows or something else? And any reason why you don't just swap monitors? Or is this a laptop + External monitor type setup?

>>>...I am using the "oldeditor" option for MTEXT...<<<
Why if I may ask?

I am an aging user with not as good of eye sight as when I started on cad many years ago.
I am using laptop (screen #1) + external screen (screen #2). ACAD on large external screen #2.
Editor pops up on laptop screen.
I use the "oldeditor" because it is easier for me to edit in. (text is larger all the time, without zooming in tight on it)

This is much harder for me to manipulate the text. Text stays small unless you zoom in on it.

I would love it if I could use the same editor that DTEXT uses for dimensions & MTEXT.

Forgive me but you cannot attach images through an email reply: you have to come to the website, reply and post images and files.

When ACAD made editor update, someone in my old office said use "oldeditor" looks like what I was used to.

I have been using ever since. has button to stack/unstack fractions, add special characters, bold, italicize, etc.

new editor offers none of these options.

I think this is because AutoCAD opens dialogue boxes etc on whatever is the main screen regardless of which screen AutoCAD is actually open on. I've had similar occurences using laptop and second monitor. I believe the only way to overcome this is to make the second monitor your main screen - but this may cause issues if you use the laptop without the additional monitor.
