Belgard hatch pat files missing
I recently updated my AutoCAD from 2020 to 2022. During this update I tried to make sure all my customizations transferred over. Most did, but my custom hatch patterns are no longer available. Their names will show up but the box showing the hatch is crossed out and when I try to use one it just defaults to whatever other hatch was last used. I have tried to get the support file search file to connect with that folder that contains the pat files, and have looked into the hatch options themselves only to see the pat files say "error reading pattern file". I can pull up the files in Notepad but I'm really not sure what to do from that point. Please assist!Hatch Display

Hi,
for hatch pattern files there exist a rule: the filename for the hatch pattern has to have the same name as inside this file the hatch pattern is named ... and you can't have multiple hatch patterns inside one file (with the exception of ACAD.PAT and ACADISO.PAT).
Your first screenshot shows pattern names like "AQUA...." while the last screenshot is showing "HATCHES_2.PAT", so this could be your issue.

See the note that says, "In order to ease migration . . . "?
Follow the instructions.
Use the original acad.pat file. (I always create a Copy of that file, acad.patbak)
Find your custom hatch definitions, and copy/paste them at the bottom of the acad.pat file.

Do you still have 2020 installed and running just fine?

That's because the Belgard hatch files (which there are over 50 different ones) are all under one folder called Pavestone AutocAD Hatch Patterns, "aqua.." is just one of those Belgard hatches within the HATCHES pat file I'm trying to get to work. Folder

Hi,
>> aqua.." is just one of those Belgard hatches within the HATCHES pat file
Again, only the ACAD.PAT and ACADISO.PAT are PAT-files which can contain more than one hatch pattern definition.
It looks like you have one PAT-file which contains multiple pattern definitions ... this does not work (from your screenshot e.g. "HATCHES 2.pat" has 6MB, this can't be just one hatch pattern).

OK, so that's not how any of that works I suspect: in your screenshot there is an installer app for 2020, not 2022: you forget you had to do that 2+years ago to run their custom hatch patterns from their own custom tool? You will need to reach out to their support team https://www.keystonehardscapes.com/contactHSforms/0 If the installation guide in that folder of yours makes no sense
They also provide replacement ACAD.PAT and ACADISO.PAT files you can use under this folder (see image below): but you have to REPLACE the core one with these two by floating up this sub-folder's search path to the very top of the search path list and restart AutoCAD.
