I'm trying to make a dimension style without the actual dimension line itself. I'm trying to create a baseline type style without having to move my parts to 0,0,0. Anyone know how to remove the dimension line in a style.

Hi,
your attached image Puzzled me some how ? any way .. you can suppress dimension lines from DDIM >> select your dim style and press modify >> Lines tab . is that really what you need or you're talking about Extension lines ?

The image is not clear to me, either. Are you really talking about an extension line?

Thank you. Yes, the actual dimension line. As you can see from the pic I was able to suppress the first extension line. I’m trying to recreate a ordinate-type style without having to move all my objects to 0,0,0. I’ve toggled on and off all the options in properties for the style with no results.

If you go into the dimstyle manager, you can suppress dim lines and / or extension lines there. See attached graphic.
Is this what you are trying to do?

Odd, when I check those boxes, and exit the dialog box, existing dims using that style have the checked lines "disappear" and new ones created with those boxes checked don't have the lines in question.
Are you using any add-ins, custom startup routines, lisps, or other things that could alter the core functioning of ACAD?
What is your ACAD version and OS version? Are both up-to-date?
mine:
Win 10Pro 20H2 OS build 19042.906
AutoCAD 2021.1 (plain vanilla, no custom startups, autoload lisp, etc)

I think I found what I needed to. It boiled down to me not really understanding the ordinate dimension style. I just needed to move my origin to get the ordinate system to work. Thanks all...
