i have to make lots of floorplans, for example: i start with the the outside wall, I offset this polyline and close it with 2 polylines at each side.
after i have made the wall all around the floorplan I will have to put in the windows, doors ect, but they are not made with a wipeout frame, i am not allowed to use this, so i have to break the polyline walls and place the door, and again i would have to connect the pl's again with 2 pl's at each side so the pl's are closed again. is there an easier way to do this of a lisp or something that would speed up my drawings?

Hi,
>> is there an easier way to do this of a lisp or something that would speed up my drawings?
The way here is to explode your polylines then make one window and start copy it all around and trim the wall lines beneath . In this way you don't have any overlapped lines and you don't have to make extra works with reconnecting polylines that have no advantages to keep it .

IMO op would have issues when hatching the walls on the floor plan.
@Anonymous suggest you ask some one in your office if they have any add-on that can help. It may save your time.

You can already add these "room closing polylines" as well as the "wall closing polylines" inside the door block.
Then you can add hatches for walls as well as for rooms without issues.
If you need day-in day-out walls/doors/windows/rooms/.... then think about using AutoCAD Architecture. If you are on subscription then AutoCAD Architecture is part of the AutoCAD toolsets and you can install and use it.

Go over to the >Customization Forum< and do some Searching for combinations of relevant terms, such as "break doors," to find routines that will do this kind of thing.
