Dynamic Input For Lines Starting with a Snap Not Working

When trying to draw a line starting with a snap, I want to spcify a defined length of the line with dynamic input. However, when starting that line with a snap, the dynamic input feilds dont appear after selecting the first point. Tried changing DYNMODE to all values, and its not working.

Help would be apcirated,

Thanks!

The Autocad Licence I am usings is under my boss's name, and it wont allow me to upload a screen cast to my account. So heres a link to the screen cast which will illustrat the issue. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/9b837879-c87f-498c-86ea-eb355d1208e0

@Yehoshua.Shore ,

watched the video but can not understand what are you tring to do? maybe you are tring something and call it direct input but it is not?

"direct input" means you type a distance (just a number) and AutoCAD place the point at that distance in the crosshair\rubberband angle, does this work for you?

It's crazy how something can elude you and drive you crazy for hours, when the answer was so simple. Thank you, thank you. Have a great day.
