No ground shadows in renders

Hello

As mentioned in the title ground shadows in my renders never appear.

I have tried multiple lightning settings (including sun and custom lights) and render environments.

Hardware acceleration is enabled, shadow plane is set right beneath an object, full shadows option is enabled.

Objects cast and recieve shadows on each other, but the shadow plane is ignored.

I use AutoCAD 2020 on Windows 10

I've read so many threads i'm starting to think reinstaling is the only option.

@Anonymous ,

Can you perhaps post a sample dwg file with this occurring? That can help us troubleshoot with you.

Best,

~DD

In the image below I have rotated your model to a random orientation in 3D, changed the background color to yellow (using the background command) and turned on Ground Shadows.

Here's the same scene with Ground Shadows off.

Ground shadows are a feature to be used for the interactive use of AutoCAD.   They are not relevant for rendered images.  Read more here  and here.

I suggest you add a plane for the ground and some lighting if you want a rendered image with shadows.
