Xref plotting
Hello All,
I am trying out to grey out the x-refs in my drawing so that when I plot it, it should look faded. For that, I set the xref's layer color on 253. I can see this setting applied in the CAD file; However, when I do print preview the xref comes out dark and not on 253. Could anyone please explain me in detail why I am facing this issue. Attached is a CAD file for your review. Thanks.

Review is a good idea, next time use ETRANSMIT to zip file(s) with
all external referenced stuff.
(you uploaded the Host file, but not the Xref file and not the Plotstyletable)
Open your file, Command: PLOT, the upper right button start the Plotstyletable - Editor,
select Plotstyle Color253 (or 8 for the both *GRID* Layers)
Q: IS the COLOR mapping set to "use object color" ?
If yes, please share XREF file

Thanks for your quick response. As you suggested, attached is a zip file for host file and xref. Please have a look at it.

1. Answer: No, the Plotstyle Color253 is set print to BLACK.
Please check this out!
2. Your Layers are set to 50% transparency, that's wouldn't be my setting, but ok.
The Problem is: Your pagesetup is well set to print 50% (Plot transparency is turned OFF!)
What to do:
First test, open your file, PLOT command, Set 'Plot transparency' ON,
Try it again.
If this is also not what you expect, follow my hint about Color253 => Block in Plotstyletable.
But i am pretty sure someone who created this CTB did this because he wants to plot 253 as Black.
Ask your other users about the company standards..
bye
Sebastian
