viewport issues

1. If you read dxf, are viewport names assigned? if so, how do you see the name of the viewport?

2. In viewports, some blocks come in and the the layer is frozen/off layers and others come in that are not frozen. What determines the way it comes in.

3. Same as 2, but the viewport just has geometry.

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

i like to help but doesn't understand a word.

1. What do you mean with READ?

Open a (dxf) file in Autocad?

Names? What do you mean with VIEWPORT?

One viewport doesn't have a name

2. "Come in" ??

Are you talking about that some  objects are not visible in layouts ?

     Are you familiar with layers?

One try: You open a dxf file and you see it like the last user saved it.

Layers are part of the file and you can turn it off. On/Off is a property of a layer, same for Freeze/Thaw.

(Also "VP Freeze" for Layout and viewport is a property of viewports)

3. I don't know what you mean, but you get the setting what was active by saving the last time.

?

Please explain more, share dwg/dxf and Screenshots for a better understanding.

Try to help

Sebastian
