Looking to your screenshot you have activated CONSTRAINTINFER, which automatically connects objects together on there significant points while you create that geometry. So when you draw one line and a second line (starting at the endpoint of the first line) then constraints are build like "endpoint from line one has to be connected to startpoint of line 2" ... now when you move line 2 the endpoint of line one follows the move-vector, looking like line 1 get's stretched.

To erase the current constraints use command DELCONSTRAINT (>>>details<<<)

To turn off this mode you can directly edit the setting of the system variable CONSTRAINTINFER or use that icon in the status line
