GPU under-utilized?

Hi have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) video card.  I am running AutoCAD 2021 on Win. 10 PRO.  My performance window (CTRL+ALT+DEL) indicates the GPU utilization is only 3% (MAX) while AutoCAD is running.  This is when I select/copy/paste complex surfaces, up to 25,000+ at a time.

I am always up to date on the driver.  Hardware acceleration is on.  Cleared Cache, increased cache size.  Adjusted graphics settings in Windows and in the NVIDIA Control panel.  But I am frozen during copy and paste of a large amount of objects .  3D orbit, moving large amount of objects takes a long time as well.

RAM 32 GB @ 3200 MHz

CPU 4.4 GHz

Do I need a new/different/larger GPU?  I feel like the GPU is under utilized or AutoCAD is not properly using it.

Are you trying to solve a performance problem? the GPU is only used if and when it is needed, it is never tapped all the time. Read this, it's old but still very relevant for this old 30+year old program https://www.pugetsystems.com/recommended/Recommended-Systems-for-Autodesk-AutoCAD-134/Hardware-Recom...

Do you know whether or not your system has a "switchable graphics" (two alternate GPUs, one on board, one discrete) setup?

If it does, can you confirm/verify that the NVidia card is actually being used by AutoCAD?
