I'm a beginner and I'm trying to draw a circle from the centre (picture 1) and the cross shows up when I have my cursor touching the edge of the object. However when I move my cursor towards the cross it disappears (picture 2) and I can't snap to it to draw a circle.
I have all the options in OSNAP and in 3D Object Snap turned on. I've tried rotating the object at different angles but the cross still disappears when my cursor is no longer touching the edge of the object making me unable to snap to it.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi,
>> However when I move my cursor towards the cross it disappears
i suggest to make Aperture size more large . Options >> Drafting tab >> move the slider to right .
>> I have all the options in OSNAP and in 3D Object Snap turned on.
this is a bad habit !! just select your needed ones . also i suggest :
- make sure that your 3d object is near to 0,0 .
- Turn OFF dynamic input [ F12 ] . >> Click <<
- Turn OFF Snap to Grid [ F9 ] .

Hi,
Looking at the two screenshot I could see the viewcube orientation being changed between two screenshots indicating you have the DYNAMIC UCS turned on. Learn more about DYNAMIC UCS from HELP
You can turn off Dynamic UCS using the F6 key or press ctrl+D and then try drawing circle![]()

Either turn off NEA as running osnap (and also QUA and others which you don't need)
or (better, if you have a lot of osnaps activated 1* )
force to snap a center point using a temporary override (by pressing e.g. SHIF+C ).
1*) That's not a good idea, to activate more osnap options than necessary

Thanks for the tips! I changed the things you mentioned and it works but it's kind of inconsistent.
