I have a main file with multiple nested xrefs. All xref'd files have been purged, audited, reloaded into their parent file, and all parent files reloaded into the main file. When I bind the xrefs, nothing seems to change: all nested xrefs are still xref'd. Any Ideas?

You are going to have to do some investigation and testing.
Try binding each of the XREFs one by one until you find one that doesn't bind. Then inspect the file for anything that seems unusual.
You mention nested XREFs. You may need to XREF them separately and bind them directly instead of with the parent XREF.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

You have to bind the nested xrefs to their own 'top file' before you can next that topmost file to your final drawing.
