Modern nvida quadro 520 + old autocad

i am using autocad 2015 and going to upgrade laptop to ThinkPad p52 with nVidia Quadro P520 video card. will old autocad benefit from modern quadro video card and use its specific features?

Welcome to the AutoCAD Forum.

 

Please check the following points:

  1. Does your computer meet the system requirements for AutoCAD 2015? Also note that version 2015 was never tested on a windows 10 environment in case you have a windows 10 environment on the mentioned machine. This might result in unexpected behavior of the AutoCAD 2015 version. It might be worth it to install a version of AutoCAD which was developed for windows 10.
  2. Check if your graphic card is listed under "Certified Graphics Hardware". Please select the product, the version and the operating system you are using. You will find a list of drivers which are recommended by the manufacturer of the graphic card. They tested these drivers for the listed circumstances and recommended them. If your graphic card is not listed, go with the most up to date driver from the website of the graphic card manufacturer. You find a video of how to use the webpage here.
