Stretching causes lines to go crazy

In AutoCAD 2020, I suddenly have a problem when stretching a line or lines.  If I use a grip, no problems.  But when I stretch and type in a distance, the lines go off at a weird angle.  I have attached a video of this happening.  Not sure if I have mistakenly changed a setting or what, but if anyone can help, that would be great!

Since your are trying to stretch the whole closet wall. You need to have a bigger crossing window.  Play with the size of the crossing window until you get what you need.

Hi,

can we have the same lines that you tested in your video as a CAD dwg file here for testing please ?

Note : i suggest to check your AUTOSNAP (System Variable) , the Initial value = 63 .

The skewiest third instance is because you apparently hit Enter when it said:

Specify second point or <use first point as displacement>:

and that's what you got.  [How skewy that is depends on where that base point is in relation to the origin.]  Don't do that when you've picked a point  for the base point -- only when you've typed in  the X,Y displacement you want at the base-point prompt.

I just had the same issue.  I accidentally turned off number lock so when I thought I was typing in the distance to stretch I was really typing noting and then just hitting enter.
