Hello @Anonymous,

This is an error related to performance of the application on this operating system.

  1. Sign in as Administrator or Create a New User Account (Full Control user permissions)
  2. Make sure you have an updated graphics card driver by checking the manufacturer's website then assign the correct Graphics Card
  3. Clean out the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter (Windows)
  4. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall, Network securities & UAC on your Windows operating system
  5. Try using the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool
  6. Review the article FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation, for more troubleshooting suggestions

I had this problem too, for a long time.  running windows 10 pro, with a 1070 graphics card.

I would get fatal error, sometimes while doing nothing.  commonly during pan/zoom or mtext.

When I replaced a broken mouse my fatal error problems went away.

upgraded to a gaming keyboard and mouse combination.

It happens from time to time. I think there's no definite solution for that error. Since I started using AutoCAD, (since R14) it has happened very often.

Very sad that more than 20 years passed and the same error persist. It only happens when you don't have a competition.
