Hi thanks for the quick response.
Most are set in stone and don't change other such as the steelwork I have tried to set up as many variables as possible as the padstones on particular will change size variation etc but the ub's etc are all a standard.
I think from what I seen in the tutorial the blocking option may be the best I have seen so far to create blocks per set and try to describe each detail and then try to insert as a block per project.
I used to try and find projects that were similar but could spend time trying to find the right one and then opened me to mistakes on the drawing title especially with old data still on etc so I am just trying to set up the best housekeeping and efficiency per project. Recently I have come across the 'Find' Tool which I can open my standard details drawing and start to look for the right detail that way and copy out past to new project. I also use viewports so I was thinking that I keep the co-ordinates the same as my standards so I can reduce time where possible having to re-do viewports for each detail as well
I am lucky if I have more than 6 drawings per project being mainly residential usually consists of foundation and either Joist and Slab then a GA of ground with lintels etc a truss rafter GA and mid floor and First if project requires this but all have some standard ISO details and some plan views of each below the GA's for better understanding.
To give you an idea the drawing is quite busy with all details in it currently with different foundations, steelwork, rooing details, floor details ie JJI joists Wolf Systems etc
