Best way to link to standard details in new projects?

Hi guys,

New to  the forum and glad and grateful to be here, should have set this up a long time ago.

I have a typical drawing that was quite messy that I have been updating and doing a bit of housekeeping but in doing so and going through some tutorials recently and getting an understanding of blocks and sheet sets etc but I am still unsure the best way to link back to some of my standard details other than trying to think of jobs that include them or simply using a previous similar job etc

I have set up a blank template with some notes etc already viewported and in the model space with my company drawing title box ready to go. I do alot of residential projects structural engineering drawings wise on 2D and therefore I have alot of typical details such as foundation step details, masonry movement joint details to more varied details like certain types of UB or UC connection details to padstones orther UB's on columns etc and over time I have built up a 'Standard' Sheet drawing but can still find myself spending too much time trying to find that one particular detail to suit that particular job and was just wondering what the best housekeeping and or practice is to store and navigate to these details as quickly and pain free as possible?

Many thanks in advance

Chris
