We are currently using Autocad and Inventor 2019. Is there a way to make sure that our programs are calibrated and working correctly?
Thanks,
Blaine

What do you mean, what do you expect, what do you want to achieve?
In which situations do you be afraid running into trouble?
I don't understand your question.
Please be more detailed.

We are not experiencing any problems with our programs. We recently went through a quality audit and the auditor asked how are we sure that our programs are calibrated and working correctly. This is why I am wondering if there is a way to check the functionality of our programs.

if you have NOT face any problems till this moment then it's good . BUT Nothing guaranteed ... Yes , tomorrow if your Windows has an update then you have to expect errors !!!! also i can till that if there is any problems in future; believe me it will be resolved .
All the best ... ![]()

No program with comparable functionality works 100% error-free. If errors are detected, they are corrected by the software developer (this would be the ideal situation
).
A much much greater source of mistakes is the user. The auditor should have asked better, by which actions/steps user errors should be avoided, detected and corrected.

j.palmeL29YX - We do have a procedure in place for the user to try to avoid errors. However, the auditor still wanted to see something that would make sure the program is error free (although this didn't make much sense in my opinion).

I'd be questioning the auditor's credentials, myself. Sounds like you could feed them a line of techno babble and they wouldn't be able to tell the difference. They should at least understand the basics of the programs they are auditing.
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.
