but whenever I click on it, it goes back to the right dimension.

Have not seen this, can you please start command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot from this dialog?
Also please let us know which apps/plugins you have loaded on top of AutoCAD.

it is a the company software , we use automation for some drawings and our dim style is standard ( I can't change it without going through a long procedure)
no apps or plugins I know about is installed.
it happens mainly when we publish to Pdf
I ran the '-About' command it is about the legal notice & trademark? any specific information you're looking for I can give you from it?

first statement
>> it is a the company software , we use automation for some drawings
second statment
>> no apps or plugins I know about is installed.
What is the truth now? Who/what app created this file and the strange dimensions?

it is a company standard that set on (2007) for Autocad 2014, I don't know what app he used and it was working perfectly till last year when everybody started having this issue, it was in couple of files but now it is in almost every cad file we have.
most of the it happens when we publish to pdf, we notice the dimension is wrong or weird so we get back to see the cad file it comes out the way I showed you .

Hi,
>> it was in couple of files but now it is in almost every cad file
Any you are still on AutoCAD 2014?
From what I see in your dwg-file ... none of the dimension texts changes when I select and deselect them (using AutoCAD 2020.1.2), when I open the file they show this way and stay this way, even after changing the dimension base points ...

Hi,
as I understand , the dimension you see is 5/8 when you open it in Autocad 2020 !?
because the same file I open in my computer is showing this clip, and when I double click on the dim it goes back to the original dimension.
just to let you know , when you double click on the dim , it goes back to normal and the issue will not show until you republish again

Hi,

I see the same as you have shown in your screenshot, just made one dimension object longer to see if something is displayed differently after modification of the object itself.

The dim in the red box is supposed to be 6'-8 5/8" and if you see the precision of it is 0'-0 1/8", it is not supposed to show 37/64"!!

6'-8 5/8" in ACAD2020
6'-8 37/64 in my ACAD2013 and ACA2019
6'-8 5/8" in and ACA2019
6'-8 37/64 in my ACAD2013 and C3D2020
grrrr is it really so hard?
YES. because your DIMSTYLE is set to 1/8"

@Anonymous
Sorry, i missed your question, right?
Yes, how the dimension objects displaying doesn't match the dimension object properties settings an not to the dimstyle setting.
Solution: Update your dimension objects!

I tried doing _ recover_ for the file, tried cleaning it up or purge it, it is still the same nothing changed!
now I fix it in nonprofessional way , I explode the dimension, but I am looking for a solution for this.

Hi ,
I tried the -Dimstyle- Apply, I noticed that it has to be applied to every dim by itself!
is there a way to fix it once and for all, instead of going every dim by itself?

The command offers a multi object selection, but you have to do it for each dimstyle separat (if you are using multiple dimstyles).
Or i didn't understood
