Viewport Lineweight - for steel carpentry

From the print of a layout I get too much thick lines (visible in the pdf).

I searched all over the web but I can't stand how to plot properly the thickness of any line that is inside a viewport.

I think there should be a way in assigning it without associate color with thickness (CTB).

I use color to emphasize different objects which all should be plotted with same thickness and color (black for all).

Here I attach my dwg

Let me know

Thanks to all who care!!

Uncheck this box

Or change your objects/layers LWEIGHT settings.

Thank you

I tried unchecking the plot object lineweight - unsuccessfully.

I tried changing the VPlineweight from inside the viewport - unsuccessfully...

I run out of ideas

Did you get a chance to see the PDF I attached: is that a fix or not what you needed?

Show us your PDF with the problem.

Your pdf is same as mine, lines that come from the viewport are bigger then others (I need thin line, just it is absurde I can't control viewport line size, should I redraw all lines just to make the sketch clear?)

Hello @s231154

Are you trying to create different lightweights for plotting? Have you created a custom CTB file?

Please take a look at this video to create a custom CTB file.

  • Make sure you have associated your colors in the CTB file properly so that the thickness will appear when you plot. Ex. Color 1 (Red) set to 0.200mm.
  • Then make sure the proper color is assigned to the corresponding layer in Layer Properties, so Color 1 needs to be assigned to the layer you wish.
  • Make sure that all Layer Properties are set properly to plot as well.

Thank you Natasha,

Even if I hope in a solution not involving CTB, I tried with CTB but pdf print isn't as expected, still there are bigger lines if inside the viewport.

Thank you all
