Raster Images publish black
I am working with raster, tiff, bmp images in model space and when I publish them the view ports is black and the balloons are missing. I have tried multiple things and nothing works. I have opened previous drawing with viewports and they work fine, but I can not find the one thing that has changed.

Hi,
>> when I publish them the view ports is black
>> and the balloons are missing
Which driver did you use for _PUBLISH?
What is meant by "balloons are missing"?

Hi,
>> the balloons are in the dwg
Can you please upload such a dwg-file so we know what type of geometry your balloons are (as AutoCAD does not have a "balloon" object).
Which driver did you use to publish to PDF?

Does it embedded in a block? You can try explode the block to get normal print.

I am not working with blocks. I am inserting, pasting TIFF, JPEG into model space and then creating views in paper space. When I publish I get the pdf image below, there are balloons and other information on the drawing. I have performed this with other images and do not understand what has changed. Some images are embedded and some have the path. I know the embedded images do work correctly but not all of the time and the path images do not work. I think I have changed some parameter some where and do not know where to look . I am at a lost.

Hi,
>> I am inserting, pasting TIFF, JPEG into model space
Inserting or pasting? These are 2 very different options (one creates a reference to the image file, the other creates an OLE object inside the dwg-file.
>> Some images are embedded and some have the path. I
>> know the embedded images do work correctly
I would say the opposite, the OLE objects are the ones that create more issues when plotting.
>> I think I have changed some parameter
If you think that you have changed parameters in the drawing then it does not help to show just gif files, uploading the dwg-file would give us the possibility to try it on our systems.

I attached the file. One of the comments deals with OLE and in my trials of pasting the image in the dialog box came and I said ok, did not work.

Some additional information, we normally use Publish to create PDF's and if we have to print out the drawings we use Adobe, never use plot.

Hi,
this is what I get when using _PUBLISH to PDF (not using background publish if this could make a difference).
I do not have your JPG file, so the PDF can't show this image, if you want that I test the same content then please upload the raster file too.

Hi,
please find my result ... seems all OK.
So we need to verify:
- which version of AutoCAD are you using (command _ABOUT and attach a screenshot from this dialog)
- please show a screenshot of your _PUBLISH dialog

Have it figured out. It was a combination of the tiff was wrong which was not preventing the image to be embedded.
Thank You
